Whimsical creations are fun and enjoyable for me to make. But I don't always have time to work on these specialized items. One reason is they can take a very long time so I work on them between other projects. Please be patient, and do check back because I really do love the unconventional and will be posting more Whimsical products as time permits.

Work on the Wizard Staff, and just about everything else, is all but stopped right now :-( My time is focused on my daughter's BBQ restaurant at the moment (www.DillehnsBBQ.com). As soon as we get our second wind then work will resume on the staff, other whimsical items, and my jewelry of course. However, this oversized project has taken some shape and is in a transition stage and beginning to look fantastic! The head, or top portion, will have a hollow to hold a quartz crystal inside which will be seen through several portals, or windows, through the wood crown. Just below the crystal on the staff's surface is a special heavy gage sterling silver wire double-spiral that will be inset into the wood. The wood itself is central Texas Juniper that I cured outside for 12 years. It's extremely hard. I am very excited about this piece and anxious to get it finished and posted here.
